submissions policies

Crabby Media enjoys putting together comp zines, but we’re not a publisher in the “will consider publishing your book” sense.

our projects

We develop our own projects — primarily comp(ilation) zines edited by one of our collaborators, occasionally projects completed by a single author.

Our calls for submissions page lists all of our current projects that are open to submissions.  Pay careful attention to how each editor wishes to be contacted about the project!  Because Crabby Media is a collaborative effort, each editor may have their own preferences about whether you should contact them 1st about the project or if you may simply send your submission directly on.

The calls for submissions page also lists all of our closed calls because it might be useful to get an idea of how previous projects have been structured.

unsolicited manuscripts

We do not ever accept unsolicited manuscripts. Sorry. As we note on our about page: “No, we’re not a publisher [...].  Please don’t send us your manuscripts (we really will not publish them).”
