... us:
The idea for the Crabby Media collaborative started simply because we're a bunch of friends who enjoy collaborating. We like working together and supporting each other on projects. What we want to do with Crabby Media first of all is make comp zines together.
What we also want to do is sort of collaborate with other zine-makers and DIY publishers. So we've started an online forum and infoshop. Stop by the forum to share ideas with other zine-makers, or poke around in the infoshop section of the website to get ideas and answers.
And, no, we're not a publisher and we're not a zine distro. Please don't send us your manuscripts (we really will not publish them), and please don't send us your zines (we really won't distribute them). But if you'd like advice on publishing your own zine or finding a good distro for your project, please hang out for awhile with the lovely and brilliant people in our forum.
... being "crabby":
Have you ever noticed that when you really, really care about something people tend to mistake that passion for crabbiness? Well, we are crabby about lots of things, and we thought we'd be upfront about it.

Chris Wrdnrd ...
Started writing at age 7 and hasn't stopped. Works for a news organization during the day and works on her own "personal journalism" projects at night. Lives in Seattle with 3 cats, 2 2-wheeled conveyances, and 1 spouse. Did "The Everyday Adventures & Scribbled Memoirs of Paragraph Girl" in 2006 before realizing that really long titles are really annoying. Now she does "Cipher" and is much happier. Write to Chris: chris@crabbymedia.org.
Jess Adams ...
Is a life-long writer, caffeine connoisseur, pop culture aficionado, aspiring editor, and a knitter (amongst other things). Currently located in Dayton, Ohio, with one spouse, three cats, and a dog. She writes Letterbox zine, does her best to maintain ..anoviel.., and spends too
much time on the internet. Write to Jess: jess@crabbymedia.org.

Johanna Eeva ...
Is one of our original collaborators (and still occasionally gives advice from the peanut gallery), but is officially taking an indefinite hiatus while she moves (sniff, sniff!) to another country.
