Since i'm working on getting the Crabby Media shop ready to table at the Portland Zine Symposium (stop by and visit our table!), i've had to take the shop completely offline (can't fill orders when i'm not in town). The shop also needs some technical upgrades, which i won't get to until after the Symposium.

I hope to have the shop back up and running over Labor Day weekend (i.e., the 1st weekend in september). More details in our news announcement.

I was just updating our event listings and realized that the webpages for both the Denver and Houston zine fests are either old or gone entirely. Any news about what's happened to the fests?

The new Zine World (#28!) just came out. Way in the back in the free classifieds we have a tiny little ad that says:
Quote:

Crabby Media is currently seeking to distro zines about any aspect of zines and zine-making -- papermaking or bookbinding instructions, zine histories, how-to guides for promoting your zine or working with stores/distros, etc etc! Please get in touch with us at crabbymedia.org

We are especially looking to bulk up the zine-making resources we carry in the shop. Do you make a zine along those lines, or know someone who does?? Please drop me a note -- chris @ crabbymedia.org --or leave a comment in the forum.

Thanks!

So a little while ago i hit the buttons and pulled the levers that made our new site design go live. I hope everything looks okay and, more importantly, works. If you notice anything that is clearly broken or seems a little wonky, could you comment here to let me know? Thanks!
